November 14th is the date to Save for the Valley and Eagle River Rotary Clubs yearly event to raise money for the Rotary Foundation. This year, as in the past couple, it will be at the Valley Cinema. John Sweigart, fellow Rotarian ( Ashland Oregon Club), is once again donating the venue and the food for the event. We hold a silent and live auction that is a lot of fun and you get some great deals, and at the same time are helping support such worthwhile causes such as End Polio Now, Rotary Peace Fellowships, District and Global Grants of all kinds. The cost of tickets is $50 each, or $80 for two.  If you missed this event in the past, you missed a good time.  After the silent and live auction, you can sit back and relax while eating popcorn provided by Valley Cinema, and watching "Spectre", the new James Bond movie which will be released just the week before. Start thinking of items you can donate to the auctions. We encourage you to donate Time, Talent or Treasure...if you enjoy hiking, donate a guided hike on Hatchers Pass for example, or if you like to snow machine, fish, or golf, or whatever, get creative to put a "package" together. Find something you enjoy doing and donate others coming along. Of course, we still take gift certificates, and silent and live auction items you can donate. All of the area clubs will be helping collect items. It's a great evening of fun, so mark your calendars.
