At today's meeting, we'll hear from our Youth Exchange Student, Augustin Lira Montes, about his year in Wasilla. Also speaking will be Michael & Jack Moore who will share their experience at RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards).

New RI President Barry Rassin’s theme for 2018-19, Be the Inspiration, asks Rotarians to inspire change in the world and in each other. “I ask all of you to Be the Inspiration to help Rotary move from reaction to action — to take a hard look at the environmental issues that affect health and welfare around the world and do what we can to help.”

Serving hotdogs at the Wasilla Mayor's lunch on Independence Day has become a tradition for Wasilla Sunrise Rotary. While there are no official numbers we've served as many as 3000 hotdogs to our fellow Wasilla community members.

Wasilla Sunrise Rotary Club hosted its annual Changing of the Guard banquet on Tuesday, June 19 at Settler's Bay Golf Course's Albatross Restaurant.
Thanks to Debbie Bushnell and her Board of Directors for their year of leadership. "This is what it takes to run a successful club," Debbie said.
In line with Rotary International's new theme - Be the Inspiration - new President Janet Kennedy's goal is to be an inspiration to even one Rotarian in the coming year. Thank you for your service, Janet, we look forward to your year at the helm.
It was a beautiful evening of fun and fellowship - thank you to all who attended and helped make the event possible.
